Blue Bell Community History
Blue Bell, incorporated in 1701, was originally known as Pigeontown. The name was changed to Blue Bell in 1840. At that time, Blue Bell contained one inn, store, post-office, blacksmith and wheelwright-shops and six dwellings.
Blue Bell has certainly grown since then. Today according to the 2000 Census Profile:
